Spiegelworld DISCOSHOW
Concept to Completion
“An express subway journey to downtown New York City, leaving from the Las Vegas Strip. Once you get past the velvet rope and into the Glitterloft, you’ll be in the center of a disco celebration, wrapped in pulsing action and infectious music.”
So begins Spiegelworld’s captivating description of its newest Las Vegas attraction, the high-energy DISCOSHOW, an immersive environment intended to introduce a modern audience to that quintessential contribution to 1970s’ pop culture: the world of Disco.
To capture the gala glitter and retro romance of the era, a strong statement was essential. Spiegelworld enlisted YESCO to implement exciting signs and a magical “shimmer screen” façade to properly dress the new club’s entry at The LINQ on Las Vegas Boulevard. Our scope extended to dramatic interior features as well.
This signature Strip initiative was two years in the making, requiring close collaboration with property owners LINQ CET and project architects Bergman Walls and Associates. Once the client’s unique, period typography was correctly interpreted in design, YESCO Las Vegas craftsman set about its careful construction. The giant, fully animated letters were mounted upon cleats specifically positioned to extend through the disco ball-inspired reflective façade covering, which was also fastened in place by YESCO installers.
The finished effect is electrifying! With the arrival of DISCOSHOW, the Seventies are back, and brighter than ever.
