YESCO has successfully completed the retrofit of the Harmon Corner building’s LED Wall, an iconic digital display at one of the busiest intersections on the Las Vegas Strip. The new LED Wall is part of a renovation of the Harmon Corner building and is undergoing a major building renovation that will include new retail suites and a new marketplace at street level.
Originally unveiled as the largest sign of its type in the world in 2012 when the building opened, YESCO met the owner’s goal of completing this first phase of the 2024 renovation in time for the second Las Vegas Grand Prix. During the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix in 2023, millions of viewers witnessed more than 15 overtakes at the “Harmon turn” directly in front of the building, providing unmatched visibility for Harmon Corner LED Wall advertisers and building tenants.
Originally featuring a 12-millimeter pixel pitch, the display was upgraded to a finer 10-millimeter pitch to deliver even sharper visuals. Spanning 60 feet in height and 306 feet in width—equivalent to 27 standard billboards—this expansive 18,550-square-foot screen commissioned by BPS Harmon LLC and Branded Cities is now one of the city’s premier branding and advertising assets.
To address the challenges of the Las Vegas climate, MRI, the LED display provider, implemented advanced technology to manage the heat load on the display, which faces southwest and endures intense sunlight throughout the day.
YESCO began work on the project in February 2024 and remained onsite daily through Friday, Oct. 18, to complete the upgrade. Initially intended as a complete removal, YESCO devised an innovative solution to keep the display operational during the retrofit. By dividing the screen into halves, one side remained illuminated while work continued on the other, ensuring uninterrupted advertising visibility for clients.
The Harmon LED Wall’s location on the Las Vegas Strip makes it one of the most viewed digital displays in the country, serving as a critical branding asset in a city that thrives on dynamic visual experiences. BPS Harmon LLC and Branded Cities see this updated display as a valuable tool for advertisers to capture the attention of millions of visitors each year.
“This was a significant project, both technically and logistically,” said Jeff Young, executive vice president, YESCO. “By refining the pixel pitch and maintaining operational continuity, we were able to elevate the visual impact of the Harmon LED Wall while meeting the needs of our long-standing client.”
“At Harmon Corner, the LED Wall is more than just an amenity to the property—it’s a beacon of opportunity for tenants and advertisers seeking unparalleled visibility on the Las Vegas Strip. Our dynamic signage stands out amidst the vibrant energy of this iconic location, drawing comparisons to Times Square,” said Deana Marcello, executive vice president at Colliers International. “It’s a prime platform for tenants and advertisers seeking to showcase their brands to millions of visitors at one of the busiest intersections in the world.”
