YESCO Retrofits Neon Lighting With LED Strips on Mandalay Bay, Delano Hotel Towers
YESCO retrofitted approximately 32,116 linear feet (6.08 miles) of neon lighting with RGB LED strips on the exterior of the hotel towers at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and Delano Las Vegas.
To showcase the versatility and vibrant capabilities of the new LED system, both Mandalay Bay and Delano will feature a distinctive red, white and blue light display on Thursday, July 4, from sunset to sunrise in celebration of Independence Day.
Retained by MGM Resorts to execute this monumental project, YESCO installed customer-supplied control equipment and a data rack, which allows the property to display more than 16 million different hues of color from the LED strips. YESCO also provided and installed a 2-inch conduit and raceways along each tower’s roof to house and route data to designated control rooms.
“This substantial retrofit marks a new era in signage technology, while also preserving the spirit and vibrancy of these two renowned Las Vegas landmarks,” said Judd Williams, vice president of service, YESCO.
